1. What is Frustration65™
Frustration65™is tax savings strategies for soon-to-be, just-retired and retired Canadians. Frustration65™ was created by Septen Financial Ltd., a firm of financial planners specializing in working with soon-to-retire, just-retired, and retired clients. We are based in Trail, BC and work with a broad range of clients in their retirement years. Check out our testimonials page to see what our clients are saying about us.
2. Why is Frustration65™ needed?
Many retirees are confronted with the need to manage a larger sum of money than they have ever had to deal with and, understandably, they lack the skills and knowledge to maximize their wealth while minimizing their taxes. Most accountants and financial planners are not aware of the tax planning strategies we use, as many of our strategies involve combining a variety of financial tools from different firms. The strategies recommended are similar to those used by the very wealthy to keep themselves very wealthy. We bring those high end strategies to everyone.
3. What is different about Frustration65™?
In a word: Focus. Retirees maximize their income, minimize their tax bill and effectively plan for the transition of their wealth to their family and chosen charities. Our team at Frustration65™examines all of the options available and provides solutions that combine a variety of financial instruments. Most financial planners are really just investment planners. They help you with your investments and putting money into an RRSP but they don't know how to optimize your retirement financial picture.
4. How can you minimize my taxes?
Frustration65™ is a plan specifically for retired, just-retired or soon-to-be-retired individuals and families. The plan could help you reduce taxes when you're ready to withdraw money from your RRSPs.
5. Is this type of tax planning legal?
The Frustration65™ strategies that are recommended are 100% compliant with the laws as they stand at the time we recommend the strategy. The possibility exists that the rules could change after the strategy is implemented. The team at Septen Financial Ltd. will advise you of any changes that apply to any strategies recommended.
6. Why doesn't my accountant tell me about these strategies?
Accountants specialize in fairly and accurately reporting on financial accounting matters. Most accountants are not tax experts, very few accountants are aware of the benefits of combining different financial instruments into an overall strategy. Accountants are not financial planners; if they were, financial planners would not exist.
7. Do I have to move all of my financial accounts to Frustration65™?
If you are looking for a simple strategy then your accounts don't have to be moved. Frustration65™ will set up and administer the program but the balance of the strategy can be handled by your existing advisors. If you want a more comprehensive strategy, then it could be more effective if your financial accounts are moved.
8. What else can Frustration65™ do for me?
A full range of tax planning services is available. Frustration65™ and Septen Financial specialize in helping business owners extract the "trapped surplus" from their corporations. We also help to facilitate the transfer of wealth between generations with a number of estate planning strategies.
